Kremlin Warns US Must Return Diplomatic Compounds Without Conditions

"The time is ticking", Zakharova said.

In December, the Obama administration shut down two diplomatic missions and expelled 35 Russian diplomats.

In her words, a possible retaliatory measure against the US would be to reduce the number of people working at the US Embassy in Moscow.

The Russian Foreign Ministry reportedly threatened on Friday to expel US diplomats and close American compounds in the country if the Trump administration does not return two Russian diplomatic compounds in the USA that were seized a year ago.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told reporters on Friday that Moscow "will have to take reciprocal measures" if the issue is not resolved.

Three JeM terrorists killed in south Kashmir encounter
On Wednesday, three local Hizbul militants were killed in an overnight encounter in central Kashmir's Budgam district. It is also being claimed that the neutralised terrorists were members of Pakistan based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammad.

Elsewhere in her comments, Zakharova said Russia is prepared to expel U.S. diplomats and shut down some American compounds if Washington fails to reopen two Russian recreational estates that were closed in the US.

Zakharova was apparently referring to the January remarks by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who said Moscow had foiled several intelligence activities involving U.S. nationals working under diplomatic cover while wearing disguises, among them men dressing as women.

As a result, the USA authorities barred Russian access to the two Moscow-owned "recreational compounds".

The compounds in question include facilities in Maryland's Eastern Shore and Long Island, New York.

The latest development being that Donald Trump Jr., along with Jared Kushner and Paul Manafort, secretly met with a Russian lawyer connected to the Kremlin in hopes of getting damaging information about Hillary Clinton.

A month later, a man in Colorado was freed from the cavity wall of a department store, after being stuck there for three days. Some people assumed it was a joke and drove away, until one eventually got out of his vehicle , and approached the machine .

Also in January, a leaked dossier authored by a former MI6 agent alleged that Moscow had compromising materials on Trump that could be used to blackmail him. Perhaps the Trump campaign all of the meetings with Russians taken by the president's campaign were all just coincidental, and they all just happened to forget about them - until, of course, the media uncovered them.

Russian Federation has been increasingly frustrated with the U.S.'s refusal to give back the compounds, and allow Russian Federation to replace the expelled diplomats. "(But) if it's the only way to make our American partners understand we will have to act".

Moscow has had no contacts with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya who met U.S. President Donald Trump's son past year, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Wednesday.

Zakharova described Obama's moves as a "provocation" intended at derailing Trump's attempts to improve bilateral relations.
