William Sowell, 58, of Milan, Tennessee was traveling northbound on I-65 operating a 2014 Volvo semi tractor trailer. A second commercial vehicle traveling in the same lane failed to stop, striking the trailing passenger vehicle and causing a chain-reaction collision. Police said, before the collision, the passenger vehicles and additional semi-truck were all stationary in traffic in the right lane of travel.
