Rocket League to get Nintendo-themed cars on Switch

Psyonix, developer of the cars-meets-soccer phenomenon Rocket League, has revealed that the Switch version of the game will receive exclusive Nintendo-themed cars when it launches later this year. A new trailer has been released to accompany the announcement showing the Battle-Cars in action; watch it below... The Nintendo Battle-Cars and other Nintendo Switch additions, including local wireless multiplayer and Mario and Luigi Toppers, will be available when Rocket League comes to Nintendo Switch, Holiday 2017. The developer is adding three new cars to Rocket League, including one for both Mario and Luigi, as well as a auto for Metroid. Regardless of the color, the auto features the Super Star boost that leaves behind a trail of stars. The same is true for the "Samus' Gunship" Battle-Car, arriving with two designs based on different Varia Suits of Samus Aran. Though both vehicles are FREE on Nintendo Switch, players will still need to unlock them in-game by completing certain requirements. The Gunship vehicle will come with a Wave Beam specialized boost. This might prove to be slightly confusing, as each auto is primarily red or green, with blue highlights that are meant to look like their suspenders.
