YouTube Officially Announces Its New Look And Several Updated Features For Its Mobile App

Here are all the big changes coming to YouTube today

YouTube today rolled out a revamped design, with a few extra features to boot.

First and foremost, the YouTube desktop site and mobile app are being overhauled with the Material Design look that now pervades much of Google's software lineup, including Android and Search. A new Library Account tabs has also been added-giving you easy access to what you are looking for.

The new changes are not limiting with the desktop version, many more changes are coming to the mobile app too. That's all topped off by the redesign YouTube logo you see above.

Speaking of this new feature, which now YouTube has taken out of the beta stage to stable version and made it available for its users across the globe on their latest mobile app.

Today YouTube officially announced several updates, including a new logo, the dark theme finally rolling out to everyone in a new desktop experience, and new features for mobile users.

Google said this about the new logo - "a cleaned up version of the YouTube wordmark and icon - was created to be more flexible across devices of varying screen sizes".

Adapt to any video, beautifully: We've also been experimenting with new ways to display all videos in the best possible way. And in the effort to introduce more gestures, YouTube is working on one that will let you go between videos by swiping left and right with your hand. Vertical videos will have no black bars on the sides, just pure video viewing.

Country singer Chris Young said in a Twitter video that he created an online fundraiser for the Red Cross and donated $100,000. Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner thanked Hart during a Monday morning news conference for raising awareness about giving.

The YouTube logo has now been shifted, and no longer will emphasis by placed on "Tube", but on to the play button.
