"Claudio Bravo claims that Alexis Sanchez " went from happiness to bitterness" when he was unable to secure a move to Manchester City.

City hope Ederson has not suffered a serious injury, but Pep Guardiola said he may miss Wednesday's Champions League game at Feyenoord with Bravo set to step in.

Sanchez was reportedly left angered by the proposed move falling through but has been told by City that they will try to sign him again in January, according to Goal's Sam Lee and Chris Wheatley.

"For me it's all down one thing", Ferdinand said on BT Sport, as quoted on the London Evening Standard.

Everton's Ross Barkley was also close to a move away with Tottenham and Chelsea both linked while Southampton's Virgil van Dijk had submitted a transfer request in what looked like a come-and-get-me plea to Liverpool.

Ferdinand, who played for Manchester United from 2002 to 2014, says all these players can still be welcomed back by their teammates, but it depends on their professionalism.
