Sensex ends 201 points higher; Nifty settles at 10231-level

The Sensex added 618.47 points, or 1.94 per cent, during the week - the biggest such weekly jump since July 14 when it read 660.12 points, or 2.10 per cent - and the NSE Nifty soared 187.75 points, or 1.88 per cent.

The 30-share barometer pushed higher by 211.04 points, or 0.66 per cent, to 32,393.26. Among sectoral indices, BSE Bankex was gained the most - up 1.3 percent intraday.

The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 51.90 points or 0.51 per cent higher at 10,219.35 points.
