Netflix to end Cards amid Spacey claims

Netflix pulls plug on House of Cards in wake of Kevin Spacey sexual assault allegations

"As previously scheduled, Kevin Spacey is not working on set at this time". (Spacey is both the star of the popular Netflix series and an executive producer.) Now, Netflix has confirmed to Variety that House of Cards will end after its upcoming sixth season.

Netflix, however, had already made a decision to end the show and was pursuing a spin-off. In response to the allegation, Spacey (and what may be the world's worst PR team) chose to go the route of saying that while he didn't remember trying to seduce a 14-year-old child, if he did do it, it was because he was drunk-oh, and he's gay.
