Ultra-quick reshoots cutting Kevin Spacey out of new film

Kevin Spacey cut from 'All the Money in the World,' scenes to be reshot with Christopher Plummer

Shocker: Kevin Spacey Dropped From 'All The Money In The World;' J Paul Getty Role Recast With Christopher Plummer

It's not an entirely impossible task to redo his scenes, as much of the film focuses on Michelle Williams as Gail Harris and Mark Wahlberg as Fletcher Chase, Getty's assistant. Scott is also determined to to keep the film's December 22 release date.

Oscar and Emmy award winning actor Christopher Plummer will step in and play an aging J. Paul Getty in the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The decision to erase Spacey comes after a string of allegations about the actor's predatory sexual behaviour. And per THR, Plummer was actually Scott's first choice for the role of Getty, but Sony wanted a bigger name in the part.

Sony had announced it was pulling All the Money in the World from the upcoming American Film Institute film festival in Los Angeles. And incredibly, Scott intends to reshoot the eight to ten days of work that Spacey did on the project, and still hit the planned December 22nd release date.

Variety said that Spacey had shot about two weeks of footage and there were many scenes in the film where he was the only actor on screen. All the Money in the World chronicles the true life saga of the kidnapping of John Paul Getty III (Charlie Plummer) and his mother's desperate attempt to convince his insanely wealthy grandfather (Spacey/Plummer) to pay the ransom.

The actor has since been accused by more than dozen men of either sexually harassing or assaulting them.

Iraqi mobilization units also reportedly took part in the operation, local media reports. Croft revealed that aircraft has yet to be moved out of Iraq and Syria.

Spacey, 58, did not immediately respond to the allegations.

Spacey's former publicist said last week that the actor was "taking the time necessary to seek evaluation and treatment".

Since the sexual assault allegations against Spacey, we have also seen the cancellation of his House of Cards series, which was said to be on its way anyway. "But if I did behave then as he describes, I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behavior, and I am sorry for the feelings he describes having carried with him all these years".
