Jacksonville police arrest former Jaguars player

When Jackson Sheriffs' Office deputies arrived to a home in Jacksonville, Nicole Miller had suffered injuries to her face and neck.

The argument allegedly escalated into a physical confrontation and Nicole Miller told police her husband grabbed her by the hair, pushed her around, threw her phone into the toilet and prevented her from retrieving it.

Roy Miller then called her son into the room with him and barricaded himself in the bedroom, according to the arrest report. According to the police report, Miller's wife accuses him of dragging her by the hair, tearing a braid out of her head, and almost ripping off her shirt. Several children were at the home at the time, according to the report.

Miller played four seasons (2013-2016) with the Jacksonville Jaguars before being released on March 12.

Per the news story from NBC affiliate WTLV, Miller was charged and will appear before a judge on Saturday, so more details will be forthcoming. Miller played a backup role for the Chiefs this season, collecting six total tackles and a broken up pass in seven games.
