Hitman Series in Development at Hulu from John Wick Creator

Hulu plans to make a Hitman television series with 'John Wick' creator

Unlike 2007's Hitman film, or 2015's Hitman: Agent 47, the planned Hitman adaptation will be for a new TV series on Hulu. IO Interactive is working on two more new Hitman games.

Kolstad, who's written the scripts for the first and the upcoming third John Wick films, will write the TV show's pilot episode. The new, as-yet-unnamed Hitman series is tentatively slated for a 2019 release on Hulu.

Agent 47 introduced the character as an enhanced supersoldier played by Rupert Friend.

The entire project will be overseen by Bert Salke, Jane Francis, and Gloria Fan, all of whom are head honchos over at Fox 21 Television Studios.

If you've played any of IO Interactive's Hitman games, you know how episodic the setup is: Agent 47 and his bald, bar-coded head travel to locations both exotic and mundane - sometimes in creative disguise - and carry out murder assignments that involve espionage at the highest worldwide levels. It seems like something that would have potential to work as a TV program, and now we'll get to see if that happens.
